Research Director, Dr. Fang Zhou, Research Head, Zhu Yan and other leaders of the One Country Two Systems Research Institute visited the Deren Electronics at afternoon on October 15th, 2018, companied by Wu Zhiqian, Assistant Vice President of Product Department of China Construction Bank, and Zhang Keke, who is former Full-time Vice Chairman of Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology, President of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Development Institution in PKU-HKUST Shenzhen-Hong Kong, and chairman of Shenzhen- Hong Kong Science and Technology Cooperation Promotion Association. The President of Deren Electronics, Qiu Jianmin and Vice President, Wu Xiaoguang and other leaderships welcomed and reported the company’s situation to the research group.
Dr. Fang Zhou firstly introduced the objectives of this investigation and survey. The Hong Kong One Country Two Systems Research Institute is carrying out studies on the merger and acquisition of foreign-fund investment of the innovation industry of science and technology in "the Belt and Road Initiative". To know about the progress of "Go Global" of science and technology enterprises through investigation and challenges they faced during the cross-border mergers and acquisition and integration, to understand the demand of these enterprises on the policy support. As the Investment and Financing Director of the Deren Electronics, Wang Hai reported the development of overseas acquisitions to the survey group against the topic of the group. The Chairman, Qiu Jianmin added that the original intention of the Deren Electronics to take over the META was to master the core technology of new energy automobile and drive the upgrading of Chinese automobile industry in production technology and technical management.
Qiu Jianmin pointed out, during an exchange with the survey group, the greatest difficulty in the overseas acquisition was currently how to continuously operate after acquisition and continue to research and develop and produce. Investors had a lack of patience and didn't want to support long-term projects, leading to a shortage of funds in enterprises.
The Chairman, Zhang Keke said the One Country Two Systems Research Institute and Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology will support enterprises through Hong Kong Fund, industry fund and government subsidies, after listening to situations of Deren Electronics. In addition, he showed a wish of further exchanges and cooperation with the Deren Electronics in the coming years.
